DMCA notice

Digital Millennium Copyright Act notice. Claims of copyright infringement and related issues, 17 USC 512 and following.

We respect the intellectual property rights of others. Anyone who believes their work has been reproduced in a way that constitutes copyright infringement may notify our agent with the following:

  1. Identification of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed, or, if many works at one site are covered by one notice, a representative list of those works.
  2. Identification of the material you claim is infringing and that needs to be removed, including where it is located so the agent can find it.
  3. Your address, telephone number, and, if available, email address, so the agent may contact you.
  4. A signed statement that the information is accurate, that you have a good faith belief the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law, and, under penalty of perjury, that you are the copyright owner or are authorized to act for the owner.

When we have that knowledge we will act promptly to remove the material or disable access to it. There are substantial penalties for false claims.

If a notice was wrongly filed against you, you may send a counter notice. A valid counter notice includes:

  1. A physical or electronic signature of the poster.
  2. Identification of the material that was removed or disabled, and where it appeared before that happened.
  3. A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good faith belief the material was removed or disabled because of mistake or misidentification.
  4. Your name, address, and telephone number, a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the federal district court for the district where your address is located, or if your address is outside the United States, for any district where the service provider may be found, and that you will accept service of process from the complainant.

The Digital Millennium Copyright Act of 1998, 17 U.S.C. 512, gives copyright owners a way to ask that infringing material be removed or blocked. If you believe in good faith that content on our website or services infringes your copyright, you or your agent may send a written notice by email to DMCAnotice@MLSGrid.com.

Your notice should include:

  1. A description of the copyrighted work.
  2. A description of the allegedly infringing content and enough information for us to locate it.
  3. Your contact information, including address, telephone number, and email.
  4. A statement that you have a good faith belief the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
  5. A statement, signed under penalty of perjury, that the notice is accurate and that you have authority to enforce the copyrights.
  6. A physical or electronic signature of the owner or a person authorized to act for the owner.

Leaving any of that out may delay the complaint.
